Why ask instead of click
Some questions take ten clicks and three filters: "Which country converts best from Reddit this month?" or "What did the launch week bring compared with the week before?" It is faster to ask. The answer must use your numbers, not a guess, and it must show how it got them.
Where twelvebit shows it
Ask is a page in the dashboard. Type a question in plain words. The answer uses read-only queries on your data, and each answer shows the queries it ran, so you can check the work. Suggested questions come from the data your site has.
The same data is open to your own assistant through the twelvebit MCP server. Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Codex can read your traffic, revenue and funnels, and, if you allow it, change the setup: add a funnel, an alert or a note. An assistant can never manage your team or your keys, make a dashboard public or delete a site.
How to do it
- In the dashboard, open Ask and type a question, for example "Which channel brought the most revenue last month?"
- In Claude, add a custom connector with the address
https://twelvebit.app/api/mcpand sign in. Choose Read only unless you want Claude to change the setup. - In Claude Code, run
claude mcp add --transport http twelvebit https://twelvebit.app/api/mcp. The MCP docs cover Cursor, Codex and ChatGPT.
Questions to start with
- Which channel had the highest revenue per visitor in the last 30 days?
- Where is the biggest drop in the funnel from pricing to payment?
- What did the posts on Reddit this month bring, in visitors and revenue?
- Compare this week with last week, and tell me what changed most.
An agent can also set up the tracking for you. One prompt installs the script and writes the tracking plan. See agent setup.
