Fathom shows your traffic. twelvebit also shows which traffic pays.

The reports

Revenue sits next to the traffic that brought it.

Every channel, referrer, campaign and page row shows the revenue that it brought, from the payments themselves. The rows add up, because each payment counts for one visit.

Two twelvebit report cards: revenue and visitors by channel (Organic Social $6,586, Organic Search $5,341, Direct $2,520) and by page (/signup $6,688, /pricing $5,010), with last-touch revenue.

Is twelvebit cheaper than Fathom?

Below 100k events a month, yes: $9 on Starter against $15 on Fathom. From 100k up, Fathom costs less: $60 at 1M pageviews against $69 on twelvebit Starter. Fathom also includes 50 sites on every plan.

Does twelvebit need a cookie banner?

It depends on the law that applies to you. In cookie mode, the twelvebit script stores a random ID on the device for up to one year, and in the EU and the UK that usually needs consent. In cookieless mode it stores nothing on the device. Fathom says that it uses no cookies. See the privacy docs; this is not legal advice.

Can I bring my Fathom history?

No. twelvebit imports Plausible exports, not Fathom data. Run both scripts side by side for a while, then remove Fathom when you trust the new numbers.

Choose Fathom when

  • You have many small sites. Every Fathom plan includes 50 sites, and the price at 100k pageviews or more is lower than twelvebit Starter.
  • You want no cookies by default. Fathom sets none and says that you need no consent pop-up for it. twelvebit sets two first-party cookies unless you turn on cookieless mode.
  • You want a long track record. Fathom has run since 2018.

Choose twelvebit when

  • You want revenue by channel from your payments. twelvebit connects Stripe, Polar, Lemon Squeezy, Paddle, Dodo Payments, Shopify and WooCommerce. On Fathom, revenue is a value that your site sends with an event.
  • You want funnels and journeys: where visitors leave a signup flow, and every visit of one customer before the payment.
  • You want your coding agent to set up the tracking with one prompt, and to read the numbers through an MCP server.
  • You have fewer than 10k events a month: twelvebit Starter costs less.

Move from Fathom to twelvebit

Paste the setup prompt into your coding agent and keep the Fathom script while you compare. Tell the agent which Fathom events you use, so it adds them to analytics.yaml. Connect your payment provider in the revenue settings. After a week, remove the Fathom script. See agent setup.
